TREES NOW REMOVED
Airport Back To Normal (W.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. October 17. Trees immediately obstructing Nelson Airport had been removed and National Airways Corporation would now have no difficulty in operating from the field, the assistant genera] manager of the airline (Mr G. K. Grocott) said today. Certain minor restrictions would remain on Friendship flights, but these would not affect passengers' chances of travelling when they were booked to travel. Mr Grocott said NA.C. appreciated toe prompt action the Nelson City Council had taken in attending to the trees.
Mystery Bns Trip.—The Christchurch Senior Citizens’ social elub held a mystery bus trip recently, attended toy about 136 members. Afternoon tea was served at the South Brighton Community Centre, where a programme of entertainment was presented. The outing was organised by Mr H. Grscie.
