New Zealand paratroops stationed in Thailand since the pro-Communist offensive in Laos last May have returned home.

The New Zealand Embassy spokesman said 30 paratroopers left Korat in northeast Thailand yesterday aboard a DC6 plane. Colonel D. Caughley, commander of New Zealand Far East land forces, accompanied the paratroopers to Singapore.

Only crews and maintenance technicians of three New Zealand Air Force Bristol freighters are remaining in Thailand.
