G. C. P. Beadel, third player in the championship winning Officers Club A grade squash . rackets team, has enjoyed a particularly good season. He has been extremely consistent. winning nine of his 10 inter-club matches and performing well in local tournaments. At Palmerston North last week-end, he went down to J. N. Isaacs, Timaru, only after a very hard fight in the final of the New Zealand i B grade championship. ★ i Perhaps the surprise i selection in the New Zeai land basketball team to i play in England next year, 1 is the choice of the Can--1 terbury player, C.
