ONEHUNGA ARRIVES
Former Swedish Freighter (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. August 31. The Onehunga, a 914-ton freighter intended for the Onehunga—southern ports coastal run, arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Sweden. Formerly the Swedishowmed Baltic-North Sea freighter Tullan, the 14-year-old vessel was bought and renamed by the Kaipara Steamship Company early this year. The Onehunga was taken over for the Northern Steamship Company by Captain J. Shaw and a crew of 14 on May 15 and sailed to the Cornish port of Fowey to pick up a cargo of china clay for Tasmania. The Onehunga went from Tasmania to Melbourne to load more than 1000 tons of steel billets for Auckland.
