MIDNIGHT STROLL ENDS HAPPILY
Small Boy Back With Family
None the worse for his midnight stroll along the Main North road in his bare feet and pyjamas on Thursday night, two-year-old Paul Spanjer played happily with his brothers yesterday afternoon.
Put to bed at 7.45 p.m.. Paul found the searchlights from the Industries Fair an attraction, and he clambered out of bed to go and see them for himself.
He was found wandering along the Main North road by a passing motorist and taken .to the Central Police Station. His parents were located at 2 a.m. yesterday and Paul was back in bed half an hour later.
He did not get up until after 8 a.m. which was unusual for him, said Mrs Spanjer yesterday. Paul had nothing to say about his adventure, mainly because he does not speak very much yet.
