Indonesia has instructed its officials not to enter into new trade relations with India because of the attitude of Indian representatives on the Asian Games Federation Council. The Trade Minister <Dr Suharto) told reporters today that this attitude “will deeply affect our stand towards the Indian Government and people in the future"
Dr Suharto spoke to reporters after a meeting at his ministry, which was also attended by officials of the Foreign Ministry The Minister said the action was taken because of the attitude of Mr G D Sondhi, who was re-elected this week to his fourth term as vicepresident of the Asian Games Federation, over the entry of Is-ael and Formosa
In his statement. Dr Suharto told Government officials: "If Sondhi succeeds in his efforts, we must do our utmost to frustrate the next Asian Games due to be held in Bangkok ”
