Harriers MAJOR RACES AT TIMARU
Improved Entries
Received
Some excellent racing is expected in the two major harrier events at Timaru today, when senior runners will take part in the Temuka-Timaru road race of about 11 miles and the juniors will compete for the South Island title. Entries are a little better than last year in both sections, with 105 for the senior division and 74 for the junior.
However, it is possible that some of the leading senior road runners may not be competing as they are likely to be reserving their efforts for the Empire Games marathon trial being held in Christchurch next Saturday.
