Net Profit Eases
Net profit of Wilkins and Davies Construction Company, Ltd., Wellington, eased from £55,339 to £53,830 —a drop of 2.7 per cent.—in the year to March 3L
Result was reached after £67,134 for depreciation (against £64,416 last year) and £58,771 (£32,922) for taxation.
Profit represents 17.1 per cent, on £314,393 shareholders’ funds.
Requirement for the total 7(4 per cent, preference dividend and 8 per cent, ordinary dividend is £19,750. Last year dividends needed £3750. Net profit from contracts is £93.719 (£62,271 last year), while capital profit on the sale of land and assets is £2547 (£23,418). Revenue reserves are £24,393 (£20,313), current assets £601.972 (£500,430), current liabilities £507,728 (£475,639) and investments £63.694 (£32,426).
