Pulp Books
Sir, —I am afraid I cannot agree with your correspondents. May I say how glad I am that we do not live in such a world as depicted by “E N.F." and “Christiaie, Wake Up." They wish to abolish what they call “sex literature” by preaching sermons about morality; a second odd idea is that morality has been hindered by women’s underwear advertisements. etc. Somehow their opinions remind me of bathing machines. I am afraid I cannot see why your correspondents are so worried about “pulp books." They do not harm 99 per cent, of the community. Indeed, were they prohibited, they would appear secretlv.—Yours, etc., LAISSEZ-FAIRE. August 22. 1962.
