WEIJjINGTON. Aug. 24. Dr. D. A. Cameron has been appointed High Commissioner for Australia in New Zealand, in succession to Vice-Admiral Sir John Collins. Sir John and Lady Collins expect to leave Wellington on September 28. Dr. Cameron was a member of the council of the Commonwealth Parliamentary delegation which attended the coronation of Queen Elizabeth and, in 1957, he led the Australian delation to the lOtb World Health assembly in New Zealand. He was born in 1900 at Ipswich. Queensland, and was educated at Ipswich Grammar School and the University of Sydney. He began his medical career at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Prince Henry Hospital. Sydney, and later set up in private practice in Ipswich. He served in two world

wars, enlisting in the Australian Imperial Force in 1918 and was in the Medical Corps. 2nd A.I F. He rose to the rank of colonel and saw service in Tobruk, Palestine, Ceylon. New Guinea and New Britain. He married in 1933 and has a son and a daughter.
