Queen Speaks To Children

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 23. Queen Sirikit of Thailand spoke to her children in Bangkok today. The Queen confided at the Town Hall reception on Wednesday night that she was missing her four children who were in Bangkok in the care of her mother.

The Mayor (Mr D. M. Robinson) mentioned the use of radio-telephone.

”1 would love to talk to them, but I didn't know it was possible,” said Queen Sirikit.

The Post Office arranged to have a call made to Bangkok today from the Royal suite at the Star Hotel and the Queen was able to speak to her children.
