The Kaikoura coast and Canterbury.—Moderate to fresh southerlies; overcast with periods of rain; rather cool temperatures. Outlook: showers and fair periods.
Marlborough Sounds.—Moderate to fresh southerlies developing; overcast with occasional rain; becoming cooler. Outlook: showers. Central Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland.—Light or moderate variable winds; a few scattered showers, but long fair periods; temperatures moderate. Outlook: isolated light showers, otherwise partly cloudy.
