DISC BRAKES ARE NOW BEING USED by a British company on its heavy vehicles, and they are also in use on buses and aircraft. Here a Dunlop disc brake can be seen fitted to a Scammell vehicle. Disc brakes made by Dunlop, British Lockheed and Girling are fitted to a large number of Continental cars, including Ferrari, Mercedes, Alfa Romeo and Maserati. British discs are also used on the Studebaker Avanti.
