Equal Pay And Allowances
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 23 The effect of the implementation of the equal pay legislation on the retiring allowances of women who have received unequal pay for many years is viewed with concern by the New Zealand Post-Primary Teachers’ Association. Unanimously passing a motion to this effect at the association’s annual conference. delegates asked that the Government write into the new superannuation regulation a clause to ensure that under equal pay no woman will be worse off so far as superannuation is concerned than if she had retired under the old conditions.
