Muddy And More Rain
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 23. Athletic Park, venue of Saturday’s Rugby test between Australia and New Zealand, was doing its best to look like a lake this afternoon, after 18 hours of steady rain. The groundsman (Mr V. Meates) was hopeful of a dry ground—provided the rain stopped within a short time. However, further rain has been forecast. The Australians held a light training run on the ground this morning, but the All Blacks had to transfer to a suburban park. Both teams plan to have another run tomorrow.
