CONFIDENCE IN COMMONWEALTH
Investments By Lombard (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Aug. 2. In support of the group's confidence in both the present and the future prosperity of Australia, Canada and New Zealand, Lombard Banking. Ltd., had completed its programme of concentration of funds invested overseas into companies in these three leading members of the Commonwealth, the managing director, Mr Eric J. P. C. L. Knight, said today. The message was addressed to executives and guests at the opening of Lombard Australia’s new Victorian offices today Mr Knight said London businessmen had long been of the opinion that Australia was the country of the future. H e said it was a young and vigorous nation with vast potential in all fields of enterprise.
