Appeal Rejected
Mr Justice Richmond dismissed an appeal in the Supreme Court yesterday by Peter King (Mr D. H. Hicks) against conviction for driving in a dangerous manner His Honour said King’s case turned solely on the evidence of identification. It seemed to have been open to the Magistrate to take the view that flakes of paint found at the scene came from King’s van. and there was also the fact that a tail-light ring was found at the scene and a similar ring was missing from King’s van. There was the curious fact, too. that King could not account for damage to his van. I', all came to a strong web of circumstantial evidence against King.
