ANAKIWA SCHOOL

Arrangements For Opening (N.Z. Press Atsoc'atfon) AUCKLAND, Aug. 21. Arrangements have been completed for the official opening of the Cobham Outward Bound School at Anak.wa. on September 1. The ceremony will be performed by the Governor-General (Lord Cobham). People from many pans of New Zealand have accepted invitations to attend the ceremony, which will be held on the front lawn of the school property, formerly a holiday accommodation house. The president of the Outward Bound Trust of New Zealand (Mr Woolf Fisher) will preside, and speeches will be given by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake), the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nash), the chairman of the Marlborough County Council (Mr C. T. Leov) and the executive director of the Outward Bound Trust of Great Britain, Mr E. W. Dawson, who will arrive in Auckland on Friday especially to attend the function. After the Governor-General has officially opened the school. a commemorative plaque at the base of the flagstaff will be unveiled and the school will be dedicated and blessed bv the B'shop of Wellington, the Rt. Rev. H W Baines. The first intake of boys for training will enter the school in October for a course of 23 days. The nominations already received realise the hopes of members of the trust that the training courses would attract bovs from all walks of life.
