EXPORT DRIVE
Survey By Chamber
A drive to increase exports from Canterbury is being initiated by a questionnaire to present and potential exporters about their trade pros-, pects. Launching the drive, the president of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce. (Mr P. M. Mac Shane) says:— “Inevitably, in our present economic circumstances, the chamber’s work is becoming increasingly concerned with export matters and we are finding that our knowledge of exporters and their interests is incomplete in many respects.”
To give full service by referring to appropriate members any inquiries from official or other sources about exports from New Zealand, the chamber asks about the nature of exports now being made to various countries, prospects of starting or expanding exports, and similar matters.
It also asks which members would like to be informed of trade inquiries from overseas, official talks about trading, and trade missions.
