Watersider Injured
A watersider. Charles Child, aged about 50. married. of Lyttelton, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital yesterday with arm and leg injuries after he fell off the edge of No. 6 wharf at Lyttelton shortly before 4 p.m. Mr Child struck a fender between the hull of the Dutch freighter Van Neck and the wharf piles. After an examination by Dr. N. Chambers he was taken by a St. John ambulance to the hospital, where his condition last evening was satisfactory
