Army To Help
(-N.Z Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 16. The Army will help police at the Tangahoe river, near Hawera, tomorrow. Four men will help in the search for the head of Carolyn Louise Leach, aged 18, whose mutilated body the police took from the Tangahoe river on Tuesday. Senior-Sergeant A. P. Jesson, of Hawera, made the request for help through Chief Inspector C. E. Tanner, of New Plymouth, today. Major G. T. Seccombe, area officer at New Plymouth, agreed to send four men early tomorrow.
The search for the girl’s head went on for its third unsuccessful day today.
