Four capsules containing two monkeys, two hamsters and other forms of life were dropped by parachute from a research balloon into wild country. The animals were sent aloft from Goose Bav. Labrador. to test the effects of cosmic radiation in space as part of tests preparatory to a manned flight to the moon.
