WIN BY TWO LENGTHS
Blue Shaun At Melbourne (NJS. Press Asm.—Copi/npht) MELBOURNE, Aug. 4. The New Zealand-bred Blue Shaun scored a handsome win In the Gardenvale Handicap. Starting favourite at 7/4 after 2'l had been bet. Blue Shaun .weed away from his rival* to defeat Highmara by two lengths with Star William a half length away third. In the early stages of the race Blue Shaun was bobbing along at the rear of the fieltL At the half-mile Blue Shaun had only one runner behind him. Blue Shaun straightened up in fourth position and finished much too strongly for its rivals in the run to the post.
