Win Without Loss
University won the Harewood Trophy without losing one of the 16 fames played. It is the first time this has been done since the present senior competition was started in 1952. Since 1883, when the senior championship was started, seven other teams have won the championship by winning every fame. They were Merivale in 1893, Linwood in 1895, Albion in 1906 and 1908. and Marist in 1920-21 and 1952. The total of 16 games won by University is the largest number won in a season. The next highest was 12 games by Marist in 1921.
