High Scoring In Teams’ Event Perfect trap shooting conditions favoured th e Chnitchurch Gun Club when it held the VaJe Shield teams' competition and sparrow clay championship at Y.ldhurst on Saturday. Sixtv shooters took part, and the scoring was hian. Christchurch No 1 team, comprising B G. Begg. S. R. Marston. A. W Eraser. S. W Geddes and C. Stott, with a score of 71 out of 75. won the shield Runner-up was Christchurch No. 2 team, followed by Waihora. Ellesmere. North Canterbury. Belfast No, 3. Amberley. Belfast No. 1. Belfast No. 2. and Christchurch No. 3 S. W. Geddes took the sparrow clay championship with J C. Streeter runner-up after a shoot-off among those who had registered the possible. The B grade went to I Ballinger. The Waihora shooter. L. J Eden, won the club aggregate cup with a score of 82 out of 85 in skeet, snarrow. single and double rise clay target championships during the season.
