Study Tour By Graduates
The University of California is conducting an experimental study tour of South Pacific countries, the present subjects being art and agriculture. The tour, comprising 10 graduates, is designed to give material for extra units for salary increments. Classes are held on board ship to consolidate field studies. Two women, both teachers with B.Sc. degrees have left the party to make a private tour of New Zealand. They are Misses Louise Sturges and Brenda Jobe, who wert in Christchurch yesterday ti visit Lincoln College. Tour students bad to pay their own way. and the scheme would be beyond the means of a great many It was held during college vacation. when most men students were working to pay their next term's fees and expenses. Misses Jobe and Sturges will rejoin their ships at Fiji to return to the United States
