Ski-ing CANTERBURY TITLES

Venue (hanged To Brcken River Lack of snow has forced the Canterbury .Ski Association to change the venue of the provincial championships to be held this week-end from- Temple Basin to the Broken River Basin ski field of the North Canterbury’ club The slalom title will be decided on Saturday and the downhill on Sunday Both races will start at noon. The slalom course will be set by J. H Lange and the downhill by the North Canterbury club instructor R. Wvrsch The Australian Universities’ team, which was to have competed by invitation in the championships, will now not be arriving until August 10. It will however, compete In the South Island titles at Coronet Peak on August H and 12. and against New Zealand University teams from August 15 to 20.
