£1 16s 8d A Week IN Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. Aug. 1 A claim far an increase of lid an hour or £1 16s 8d a week for fitters at the New Zealand Forest Products Ltd . K nleith factory by the New Zealand Engmeerina Workers' Union was heard by the Arbitration Court in Auckland today. The union asked for the margin to be carried on down the scale of its workers employed at Kinieith It also asked for specia' payment for fitters because of obnoxious and dangerous chemicals creating a hazard in the'r work. Further claims referred to a country allowance, extension of hohdavs from a fortnight by a week because of unusual periods worked by the fitters and for an allowance based on the inconvenience of fitters having to wear gumboots for long periods.
