Alliance Francaise Meeting
An address on the work and philosophy of the contemporary French playwright and novelist, Henri de Montherlant was given by Professor J. H. Bornecque at the July meeting of the Alliance Francaise. Professor Bornecque. professor of modern French literature at the University of Caen, is on a tour of the universities of New Zealand. He illustrated his address by a reading from the play, “La Reine Morte.” The hostesses for the evening were Mesdames J. Moffat and Clark, and Misses P. Tobin and A, Just.
