DRAINAGE BOARD CONTRACTS
Avondale Area Reticulation
A tender of £19.793 by J. C. Howarth has been accepted by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the first section of the Avondale arm sewer reticulation. The tender was the lowest of three, which ranged to For the fifth section of the Hoon Hay sewer reticulation project, the board has let a contract to the Rush Construction Company, Ltd., which tendered £l7 518. This was the lowest of four. The highest was £23.907.
Other contracts let by the board are: Martindale road culvert. Bridle Path drain, to Kiwi Contractors, Ltd., £llB5 (the lowest of six tenders up to £1460»: Ngalo street stormwater outfall, J. W. Peter*. £1543 (eight tender* ranged to £2410); piping of Veitche* and part of Claridges road, drain, E. O’Sullivan. £72°3 (eight tenders ran from £6366 to £9578)
