Yachting AMERICA’S CUP TRIAL
Nefertiti Scores Seventh Win ( NJZ.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) NEWPORT (Rhode Island), July 11. Nefertiti. the newest of the four contenders, scored her seventh victory of the America's Cup trials at Newport yesterday when she beat Easterner by lOsec. Nefertiti has had one defeat, to Weatherly. It was the closest race of the trials so far. Easterner, which on Monday beat Weatherly to gain her first victory, held a lead of 28sec at one time, and was only overhauled over the final 100 yards There was only one race yesterday. Columbia, the 1958 winner, was temporarily out of the trials with a broken mast, and her race with Weatherly was postponed.
