AUCKLAND. July 11. A firm of SPihcitoM who sued * client for a fee of £l3O and expenses of £2 4s Bor services rendered oy a senior partner, in hi* capacity ao a barrister, were grunted only the expenses in a written decimon by Mr R. M. Grant. SM . in the Magistrate’s Court ait Auckland today.
The firm was Robinson and Morgan-CoakJe, who sought to recover a total of £152 4s from a workman, John Patrick Behan, for services rendered by Michael Robinson. “The claim, in so far as it relates to a barrister's fee is, in my view, irrecoverable,” said the Magistrate. “It would have been recoverable as a disbursement had the plaintiff flrm paid this sum out to a barrister even although he be a partner.
“This was not the esse. The only disbursements paid were £2 45.”
