University Women To Meet
The Dominion president of the Federation of University Women, Mrs H. D. Purvee, of Dunedin, passed through Christchurch on Friday evening on her way to attend the triennial conference of the International Federation in Mexico City. The only New Zealand federation member to represent the Dominion, Mrs Purves has previously attended a Similar conference to Paris. At this year’s meeting, delegates from all parts of Asia, Europe. Africa and America will be present After the conference ends next week Mrs Purves will continue a world tour, including Britain. Europe, India, and Thailand. Frown Food Industry.— Britain's frozen food industry started in 1947 when retail sales amounted to £250,000. Today, only 15 years later, the figure is about £s7m. The figure represents money paid by housewives, and does not include business with caterers.
