More “Clean” Areas

WELLINGTON, July 10.
Lower Hutt, Palmerston North and New Plymouth are now among districts qualified as low incidence areas by the National Hydatids Council. In New Plymouth, of the 628 dogs treated only one was found to be diseased. Four of Palmerston North’s 1226 animals were infected. Other "clean" areas include Upper Hutt, BullerWestport. and Para para umuTawa. These areas will be excluded from the next round of dosings and. from this time on. only the customary once-a-year dosing will continue to replace t'he three dosings a year in highly infected areas.
