He holds the degrees of B.A. and B.Sc. from the University of London, has a postgraduate diploma in abnormal psychology, and is completing a doctorate in philosophy. A Lithuanian by birth but now a naturalised British subject, he is on the staff of the Maudsley Hospital, London.
