Complaints Of Restriction (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 26 Continuation of the present policy toward farmers could easily reduce farming to little more than peasant farming, said Mr M. C. Anderson, of Wanganui, president of the Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, tonight In his address to the annual meeting of the federation in Auckland. Mr Anderson said the present, system of taxation. including death duties, and the restrictive legislation on land aggregation were two major factors impeding the growth of farm productivity Farmers, he said, believed it foolish to put added effort into farming as taxation would account for a large sum and his successors would be embarrassed.
