Premature Report

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. June 26. The report of the death in Australia recently of a former well-known Southland trainer, James Thistleton, was somewhat premature. Word has been received from Victoria that "Thissie.’’ as he is known, is very much alive and well. He also said that he “enjoyed reading his obituary,” and the build-up it gave him would put 10 years on his life. Mr Thistleton is living at 99 Bridge street, Benella, Victoria. The report of his death was checked with reliable sources and believed to be correct. It apparently was confused with the death of a cousin of the same name.
