The Offer Was Appreciated
On one occasion, Mrs Felton waa on escort duty taking a girl to the Arohata Boratai. in Wellington. They were travelling on the inter-island steamer when the girl remarked to Mrs Felton that she looked very sick. Mrs Felton explained that she had a bad headache and the girl offered to stay up all night to look after her.
“I appreciated the offer, but it waa out of the question,’’ said Mrs Felton.
