SEMI-FINALS REACHED

Queen’s Club Tourney (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, June 21. C. McKinley (United States) and P. Darmon (France), prevented an all-Australian line-up for the men's singles semi-finals in the London lawn tennis championships at Queen’s Club today. The acrobatic McKinley, last year’s Wimbledon runner-up, beat N. Fraser, of Australia, 6-2, 7-5. in the quarter-finals, w'hile Darmon scored an unexpected 6-2. 8-6 victory over another Australian, M. Mulligan. R. Laver and R. Emerson, of Australia, gained places in the semi-finals. Laver, after a slow start against R. Wilson, of Britain, picked up and slammed his way to a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win. Emerson won by default in his quarter-final when J. Douglas, of the United States, scratched because of a blistered foot. In the semi-finals, Laver will meet McKinley and Emerson will play Darmon.
