Explosion At Ford Factory

A violent explosion extensively damaged an acetylene gas plant at the Ford Motor Company works yesterday. It is believed that part of the manufacturing equipment exploded and almost wrecked the iron walls and fibrous roof, housing the plant.
Mako Shark Caught.—A mako shark, more often found in New Zealand waters than off the coast of Britain and weighing 427J1b, only 11b short of the British record, was landed at Looe, Cornwall, by a 19-year-old fisherman who had to play the shark for three hours.— (London, June 20.)
