STUDENTS FROM OVERSEAS
Hospitality Plan
Because some overseas students at Lincoln College have difficulty in speaking English, they are inclined to stay at the college and not mix with the community. Delegates to the Christchurch area grouo of the Pan Pacific and South-east Asia Women’s Association agreed to take the students out and invite them to their homes. The association holds an arrival party for overseas students each year. This year it will be on July 7. said the secretary (Mrs M. Evans). The meeting agreed to send another consignment of full cream milk to Aitutaki. in the Cook Islands.
A letter of congratulations will be sent to Mrs K. B. McCreanor who was awarded the M.B.E in the Birthday Honours. Mrs McCreanor was secretary to the area group for many years. Mr Ronald Gray sang a bracket of songs accompanied by Mrs W. E. Olds.
