Sheep From U.K.
The incidence of scrapie in sheep in Britain has been one of the main factors preventing the importation of British sheep into this country. It is therefore pleasing to hear, according to information received in Christchurch from Mr J. Boyd-Clark, who has been visiting Britain, that there has been “a complete break-through on setapie” at a research station in Oxfordshire and that the Canadian Government has now lifted the embargo on the entry of stud sheep from Britain.
It is understood that the Deputy - Prime Minister (Mr Marshall), who is in Britain, is looking into the position.
