TRAINER HURT
R. J. Barr Kicked By Yearling The young Riccarton trainer. R. J. Barr, will be out of action for at least a fortnight and at present can get about only with the aid of crutches. Barr, who trains in partnership with his father. W N S. Barr, suffered a splintered bone in his left leg when he was kicked by a young horse on Thursday. The accident occurred while Talkative and a yearling colt were being exercised on the roads. The colt lashed out at his companion and struck Barr, who was riding Talkative, in the leg.
