Cow Gores Farmer
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. June 8. A Rahotu farmer, Mr E Putt, was gored by a cow while feeding out hay today He suffered a gash in his abdomen and was admitted to New Plymouth Hospital where his condition was described as “satsifactory” tonight Mr Putt’s back was turned when the cow attacked. He had great difficulty in fighting it off. The cow had attacked Mr Putt once before.
Savage Club Korero,— An address on the Lvttelton -ailwav tunnel was given by Past Great Chief D Wilson at the third korero of ‘he Christchurch Savage Club season The programme included the club's concert orchestra, songs by Past Chief V. Reid and K Sharp, trombone solos by R. Allen, pianoforte bv G. Russell and a masquerade by the Luney brothers.
