Khrushchev Amuses Embassy Guests
(N .Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW, June 8. The Soviet Prime Minister (Mr Khrushchev) was in witty form last night at a press reception for the Italian Trade Minister (Mr Luigi Preti).
Denouncing the European Common Market, Mr Khrushchev said: “This is a marriage against nature, and even if it is registered by law. nature will see that it is broken
“Because in this marriage, if I may say so, there are not two sexes, the male and the female sex. There are only two males. “I don't want to go deeper into this subject because here, with us, these things are punished by law ” Italian Embassy sources said that Mr Khrushchev maintained that because the Common Market countries were all very much industrialised, they all want to sell to each other but could not buy anything from each other.
After saying, “There are now too many rocket bases in the world and too many people moving around them.” Mr Khrushchev told a joke about a new soldier who went to a rocket base and was shown how everything worked “He followed his instructor and flashed his hands and pulled knobs And the instructor exclaimed: ‘You fool, you have just destroyed Holland’.”
Mr Khrushchev then went on to say that he had just met the Prime Minister of Senegal (Mr Mamadounbwa)
and had discussed “military questions” with him. “Well. I told him that he had a N A T O. base in his country, and he replied. ‘lt is rather old and rather small.’ “So I said to him: ’Ah, yes. but if a virgin gives birth to a baby, even if it is a small one. she is a virgin no longer'.’’ Aliens Measure (Special Crspdt.
