Wood Pulp For Shanghai
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, June 7. The Norwegian freighter Varild is at present loading a cargo of wood pulp for China at Tauranga. The consignment of 4000 tons of pulp is bound for Shanghai in about a week. A spokesman for the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company, Ltd., which is exporting the pulp, said today the company was interested in Eastern markets, and it was part of its policy to supply anyone in that area who wanted to buy. The company makes irregular shipments of pulp to China. Last year two shipments were sent from Tauranga.
