In the recent International League soccer match between Palermo, of Italy, and Gaudalajara, of Mexico, the referee, C. Giraud, wore a pedometer to measure the distance he covered during the 90 minutes of play. It showed that he ran, walked, or trotted a little less than six and a half miles.
