Literary Fund Grants

The payment of two grants recommended by the Literary Fund Advisory Committee h-as been approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Gotz).
One grant of £5B is for Paul's Book Arcade, Hamilton, to assist publication of a book of poems by the New Zealand poet. Charles Doyle. Another £l2O is being made to assist publication of three issues of the literary periodical “Mate.”
Six Hundred Thousand See Musical.— More than 600.000 persons in New Zealand had seen the musical show, “My Fair Lady,” Mr John McCallum, the manag-ing-director of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., said in Christchurch.
