Pollitt’s Son Assaulted

Brian Pollitt, the 25-year-old son of the former chairman of the British Communist Party, the late Mr Harry Pollitt, was attacked and beaten up in his bedroom at Cambridge University early yesterday. college authorities said. Pollitt was due to stand as a Communist for the presidency of the Cambridge University Union on Wednesday, but he has been confined to his room by college authorities since the attack because he is taking exams from today until Friday.
