ANGLICANS AT UNIVERSITIES
Federation To Meet In Christchurch
Anglican university students will meet at St. Mark’a Church, Opawa, from today until Saturday for the fourth annual conference of the New Zealand Universities’ Federation oi Anglican Societies. The theme of the conference is “The Layman and the University.” This morning Mr E. Hitchcock will speak on “The Layman in the Church Today,” and in the evening the Rev. K. Schollar will speak on "The Historical Role of the Layman in the Church.” Qn Friday afternoon the Rev. J. Vincent, youth director for the Christchurch Diocese will speak on “The Role of the Student in the Church.” On Friday evening the Rev. M. Underhill, vicar of St. Barnabas'
Church, Fendalton, will give an address on “The Place of Religion in the University.” On Saturday morning a panel will discuss pastoral work in the university.
